This class will help you navigate the
siddur, and participate easier in Shabbat services. We will cover the
basics, such as the what and why of service choreography, and we
will also dive deep into the texts, discovering the intentions of the
poets who created the ultimate Jewish diary. This class will cover
the structure of each service, and some important history and
textual contexts. Through music, poetry, and story, we will gain a
deeper appreciation, and personal connection to our liturgical texts.
If you are looking to bring more kavanah (intention) to your spiritual
practice, better understand the siddur, or feel more at home entering a
sanctuary, this class is for you.
